SFWP is an enthusiastic supporter of the City's desire to increase marine transportation in San Francisco Bay. SFWP has developed a water taxi landing and free public dock at Pier 1 1/2. Water taxi services will soon be available for those who wish to take a private taxi throughout the City, or to the City from their Bay Area homeports to connect with regularly scheduled Ferry Services at the Downtown Ferry Terminal. As more water taxi landings get developed throughout the Bay, The Port will issue a Request for Proposals to competitively bid the role for the water taxi operator(s).
